11/8/06 Stations 33 & 34 Assist Tyrone Varsity Football Team

Stations 33 and 34 assisted the Tyrone Varsity football team with lighting for their practice. With the time change a couple of weeks ago, we all notice it's getting darker earlier and earlier every night. Both stations were contacted by the coaching staff to see if we could assist them with trying to make some extra "sunlight" since the team has made it to the playoffs. Truck 33 and Engine 34 made their way to the practice field in the Harry Sickler Athletic Field Complex to set up some extra "sunlight" for the team. Truck 33's stick was set up for aerial lighting and Engine 34's telescoping lights were set up. Both stations have pledged to help the team for as far as they go in the playoffs, hopefully bringing home another State Championship. Best of luck in the playoffs guys!!!!!!!!!!

Station 33's Engineer,  Joe Gault, has installed a new primer in Engine 33. The new primer is cableless and alot more efficient, but the only problem is someone has to feed it every day. Actually, the engine did get a new primer set-up and FF Kenny Riley was skinny enough to get right up in the pump cavity to make installing the set-up alot easier. We couldn't resist posting this pic on the website. Thanks Kenny for helping with the install!!!
