22:55 Hrs. -- Stations 33,34, 21 and Medic Unit 401 were dispatched for a passenger vehicle fire between the Grazierville and Tyrone exits in the southbound lane of I-99. Deputy Chief 2102 responded direct. Engine 3317 with a crew of 6 went responding immediately after the dispatch. Engine 33 arrived on scene to find a working fire in the engine compartment of a Chevrolet SUV. Crew of Engine 33 pulled an 1.75" line and made quick work of the fire. Additional units also responded on the scene. PSP arrived on scene and investigated. Upon removal of the vehicle from the scene, all units were placed available and the I-99 box was placed available.

16:17 Hrs. -- Stations 33, 34, and Medic Unit 401 were dispatched for a 2 vehicle MVA at the intersection of14th Street and Pennsylvania Ave. in the boro (Box Area 31-1). The initial dispatch by Blair Co. 911 advised of no injuries. Rescue 3338 responded with Lt. 3309 (C. Dillon) on board and a crew of 6. EMS (Medic Unit 401) arrived on scene just prior to the rescue and advised of 1 injury. Rescue 33 arrived on the scene assisting EMS with packaging of the patient along with hazard control. Asst. Chief 3403 arrived and assumed command. Engine 3413 arrived shortly thereafter and assisted the rescue crew with hazzard control. EMS transported 1 patient to Tyrone Hospital for evaluation. Crews from the rescue and engine remained on scene until Tyrone PD completed their investigation and both vehicles were removed from the roadway. Command placed the box available at 17:00 hrs returning all equipment. Crews returned to get ready for the annual Halloween parade that was scheduled for 18:00 hrs.
